Eryngium aquaticum

Marsh Rattlesnake-master (Sea holly)

Eryngium aquaticum, Marsh rattlesnake-master, is an attractive silver blue flowering perennial that is widely underused in sunny poorly drained or wetland areas. Eryngium aquaticum stands 3-4’ tall and blooms in mid to late summer. Marsh rattlesnake-master’s silver green foliage in combo with it's silvery blue flower is a wonderful companion plant with Lobelia siphilitica and Pannicum virgatum. Tolerates fun sun to partial shade.
