Pycnanthemum muticum

Mountain Mint

Pycnanthemum muticum, also known as Short-toothed mountain mint, is a pollinator paradise throughout the summer. This aromatic perennial needs plenty of space to spread out, Pycnanthemum muticum can form colonies anywhere from 4-6' across, and grow to a height of 3-4' tall. Small, white clusters of flowers bloom in late summer sitting atop their silvery leaf foliage, from July through September. The dense leaves have an aromatic minty scent when brushed upon, and deer dislike the minty taste. Pycnanthemum muticum is one of the best native perennials for pollinator services.
