Rudbeckia laciniata

Green-Headed Coneflower (Cutleaf Coneflower)

Rudbeckia laciniata, Green headed Coneflower, grows in moist soils in rich woodlands, thickets or along streams and next to ponds in full sun to part shade. Although it tolerates hot and humid summers quite well, it will not do well in severe drought conditions.  Green-headed Coneflower is a  native perennial that typically grows 3-4' tall with daisy-like flowers with refluxed yellow rays attached to dome shaped green center disks throughout its long mid to late summer bloom period. Goldfinch magnet.
