Echinacea purpurea

Echinacea purpurea, also known as purple coneflower, is a summer-blooming perennial that grows 3-4' tall. From June through July, Purple coneflower blooms with a dense array of purpley-pink flower petals surrounding a large central orange to purple cone. They grow best in full sun and well-drained soil. Echinacea purpurea is a very adaptable plant, tolerant of alkaline, clay, or gravelly soils and is Juglans tolerant.
