Just under 1' tall, it can be grown individually or in nice tight clusters along shorelines or shallow water forming an ankle deep almost turf-like mat. Eleocharis acicularis is a pioneering wetland species that handles water fluctuations quite well making it ideally suited for ponds and basins that undergo large draw downs.
